The Rev. Peter M. Floyd is the rector of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Colorado Springs, serves on the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado, is a member of the Regional Executive Committee of the Sangre de Cristo region of the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado, and assists parishes as a consultant for mission strategy, growth, and conflict resolution. Prior to his call at St. Michael's, Peter was the vicar of St. Anskar's Episcopal Church in Hartland, WI. Fr. Floyd has also served as both Priest-in-Charge and Associate Rector at Grace Episcopal Churchin Hinsdale, IL, Deacon Associate at St. George’s Episcopal Churchin Nashville, TN, and Seminarian Assistant at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Dousman, WI.
A native of Manchester, TN, Fr. Floyd received his B.S. Degree from The University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. After college and serving several years in the insurance industry as a project manager, Fr. Floyd attended Nashotah House Theological Seminarywhere he received his Master of Divinity Degree. He was ordained to the priesthood in January of 2009 by The Rt. Rev. John Bauerschmidt, Bishop of Tennessee.
Fr. Floyd is married to Jeneen, and the Floyds have two young daughters.
